The pan mee really caught my attention and not usually a fan, but this one was surprisingly creamy and enjoyable Ended up ordering another dish for takeaway. The curry laksa was just okay, around 5/10 for me. Coffee though? Big kick, strong and satisfying Overall, a decent kopitiam spot

Read about this place. Currently, TTDI’s eateries tengah viral for some reason. This cafe is located ground floor, Pasar TTDI. Head straight and turn left. Last cafe. I am a pan mee lover and will make an effort to scower town to try different places. My baseline is Noodle Shack in 1 Utama (old wing food court). So far it’s the best tasting. So how does Chai Cha’s pan mee compare? Out of 1-10, I’ll give it a 8. When it arrived there wasn’t any chilli sambal. Yes, must have that sambal udang chilli flakes and/or paste to meet my standards. Hence, I proceeded to add the chilli flakes to get it to that right color. First bite was tasty but I may have overloaded the chilli flakes. Caution to others it’s HOT but yummeh! Finished every bite. Recommended. Wish there was fish tauhu as side dish to accompany the meal. Yes, a definite return is in store. Total cost RM13 = pan mee dry small bowl RM9 + chrysanthemum tea small bottle RM4

A neighbourhood hainanese food shop at the ttdi wet market. They serve awesome chili pan mee. Probably better than the famous one out there. Chili are fresh and really spicy. Can warm the stomach up even after few hours haha. Lovely noodle and muhibbah environment. Owner are super friendly too. I enjoy their hainanese tea. Will come for more next round.

Hidden on the second floor of the central market in TTDI, you’ll find this well-known halal-style chilli pan mee spot. The prices are reasonable — RM9 for the regular chilli pan mee, RM9 for dried wantan mee, RM12 for Japanese katsu chicken rice, and RM16 for Hainanese chicken chop. The chilli pan mee definitely lives up to its reputation. Once mixed, it’s aromatic, flavourful, and perfectly seasoned. The noodles are al dente, with a great texture that ties everything together beautifully. The wantan mee, on the other hand, wasn’t to my liking. Halal versions tend to lack the aroma of pork lard, and the minced chicken with the sauce just didn’t harmonize — it felt like each element was playing its own tune. Some noodles were also clumped together. I was a bit surprised when my Japanese katsu chicken rice arrived — the staff confirmed it was indeed the Friday-only special, but sadly, it was quite lacklustre. Average at best, nothing memorable. The Hainanese chicken chop also failed to stand out. It lacked the signature Hainanese sauce and oddly came with a piece of toast. The portion was decent, seasoning was fine, and there was even a fried egg hidden underneath — a small plus point. The environment can get quite warm, and it’s usually crowded during lunch hours. Parking is also a challenge. Service-wise, it was below par — one of the staff accidentally spilled soup on me twice while cleaning. Overall, it’s a decent place if you’re craving halal chilli pan mee, but I wouldn’t go out of my way just for it.

Small shop inside the Taman Tun market, famous for their chilli pan mee. Went there on a weekday mid morning. 1 small pan mee rm9. Teh o ais rm3. The chilli pan mee was good but they use the ramen type noodle though. Great for a quick eat and go!

The Dry Chilli Pan Mee is really good. Careful with the chilli spice as it is super spicy. Very popular with office workers in the area and located in quiet side of TTDI Market. Be prepared to share a table during peak times. Can be very busy and they forgot about my order once. Nevertheless, the staff are friendly and easy going.

I like the pan mee here, especially the dry version. It would be even better if it came with a side soup, though. The laksa (not pictured) is alright, but I’ve had better elsewhere. Have yet to try the wantan mee. Service has always been fine in my experience. The uncle is never unpleasant, and the staff just takes my order and brings the food when it’s ready. There was one memorable visit when I came in for the last serving of the day and ended up with a massive portion, like a double serving of everything. It was really good! I left very happy and very full of pan mee

will be my fav spot for pan mee! fast service, warmth greet from the uncle, yummy taste with affordable price. Unfortunately, limited space for dine in, maybe you need to wait for your turns but usually didn’t take so long.

Hands down the best pan mee I’ve ever had huhu there’s no turning back after discovering this spot. I’ve been coming here religiously for the past 2 years, all thanks to their incredibly addictive dry chilli pan mee. The texture of the noodles, paired with a perfectly runny poached egg, savory minced chicken, crispy anchovies, and that punchy chilli astaga it’s just unforgettable. Just that, service can be very slow. I once waited 40 minutes just to place an order on a busy day. But honestly, the food is so good I didn’t even mind the wait. Their Nyonya curry laksa is also worth a mention hehe rich, flavorful, and comforting. I’ve been bringing different group of friends to share the food with over time. I guess this kopitiam has become like one of the attractions in ttdi.

Cha Chai Teh, tucked discreetly along one of Petaling Jaya’s quieter lanes, is a most agreeable surprise, a sanctuary for those who take their tea seriously, yet prefer their comfort informal. Upon entering, I was greeted by the gentle cadence of conversation and the aroma of freshly steeped leaves, which lent the room a tranquil, almost contemplative air.I began with their signature milk tea, served in a handsome ceramic cup, smooth and balanced with a malty depth that lingers just long enough to be remembered. The butter kaya toast, crisp at the edges and yielding in the centre, proved a fine companion, an understated nod to local tradition done with evident finesse. Intrigued, I followed with a rose oolong cold brew, delicately floral, its chill a salve against the late-afternoon heat. The staff, unhurried yet attentive, conduct the place with quiet assurance; there is no rush here, only the rhythm of steeping and conversation. Cha Chai Teh succeeds not by grandeur but by grace, it invites one to sit a while, ponder life between sips, and perhaps find a touch of serenity in the swirl of tea leaves.
